On the 19th of March the Centre for International Heritage Activities (CIE) will organize, in cooperation with The Netherlands Institute for Heritage (Erfgoed Nederland) and the University of Amsterdam, a “Heritage Day Russia”. The day will take place at the Doelenzaal of the University of Amsterdam at Singel 425 in Amsterdam.
Objectives of the Heritage Day Russia
With this day we would like to bring together Dutch professionals working on heritage projects with Russian colleagues and organisations. The aim of this Heritage Day is to improve connections between projects and partners.
The Heritage Day will consist of different presentations that give insight in the Russian heritage field and workshops that will be grouped in different themes. You can expect themes like collection and conservation, heritage management, research and public awareness and the mutuality of mutual cultural heritage. These workshops aim at formulating recommendations regarding challenges and opportunities in the international cooperation with Russia.
Besides presentations and workshops all completed, running and proposed projects on Russia can be presented through poster presentations. The posters on A2 format will be produced by the organizers of the Heritage Day and are free of charge. Examples of these posters can be seen on the CIE website.
After the Heritage Day the posters will also be made digitally available through the CIE website and admitted in our database. The deadline for sending in your project information is 1 March.
When you are interested to participate you can already register for the Heritage Day Russia at firstname.lastname@example.org. The final programme will follow within a month.
